Abstract

The paper examines the issue of tolerance as a value of modern society and virtue in behavior. UN and Council of Europe declarations addressing tolerance as a factor for peace and dialogue in multicultural societies have been announced. Attention is paid to the admissibility of tolerance, the limit of tolerance and its non-acceptance. Pedagogical aspects of education and upbringing in tolerance are given.
