Abstract

The paper is dedicated to the rule of law as a fundamental value of the European Union. The rule of law has a direct impact on the life of every citizen: it is a precondition for protecting human rights, for preventing abuse of power by public authorities and for seeking accountability and responsibility from the decision-makers.
